Senja’s goal is to help you navigate life’s challenges and discover your most authentic self. Together, we’ll explore how your past experiences influence your current behaviours, examine recurring themes amongst challenges, and explore new perspectives. Senja will guide you in aligning your daily actions with your unique values, with the goal of enhancing your overall well-being. Senja’s focus is to help you gain insight into the sources of distress, disruption, and disconnection in your life, while working together to set practical, actionable goals that create meaningful change.

Senja works with individuals (age 16+), couples, and families in a variety of areas including anxiety, depression, self discovery, identity challenges, and more.

Senja aims to provide person-centered, trauma-informed, strengths-based counselling to individuals, couples, and families. Her approach is informed by narrative theories, psychodynamic theories, and positive psychology. She draws on techniques from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and emotion-focused therapy (EFT), while integrating mindfulness practices from her training and experience as a certified yoga and meditation instructor. Underlying all of these is a commitment to offering a non-pathologizing experience; this means you should never feel like you are the problem.

Senja is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the CCPA with a Master of Clinical Social Work. Her journey toward becoming a counsellor was inspired by the invaluable acceptance and guidance from her own therapist at a young age.
